Terms and Conditions

Terms relating to the use of the Supplier Synergy website.

These website terms are being updated to reflect Supplier Synergy’s independent, supplier-funded matching and advisory model. They cover use of this website, not the separate contractual terms of any third-party IT supplier. The operator’s full legal details and final legal wording require confirmation before publication.

Introduction

These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of Supplier Synergy’s website at suppliersynergy.co.uk. The existing terms state that accessing the website signifies acceptance of these website terms.

Cookies

The existing terms explain that the website uses cookies for the operation of the site and may use them for statistics or marketing purposes. Required cookies and optional cookies are distinguished, and third-party features may set cookies. The wording and consent arrangements must be reviewed against the actual technologies and consent controls used on the rebuilt website.

Licence and intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, Supplier Synergy and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights in the website’s materials. Those rights are reserved. The existing terms allow personal use subject to restrictions and prohibit copying, republication, resale, sublicensing or redistribution without permission.

User comments (only where enabled)

The existing terms include conditions for user comments where the website allows people to post them. They state that comments represent the views of their authors, not Supplier Synergy, and set standards against unlawful, defamatory, infringing or promotional content. They also reserve rights to monitor and remove inappropriate material. This section should be retained only if commenting is enabled on the rebuilt site.

Hyperlinking to our content

The existing terms permit certain organisations, including government agencies, search engines and news organisations, to link to the website without advance approval, subject to links being accurate and not implying false endorsement. Other organisations may request permission. The existing policy also restricts use of the Supplier Synergy logo or other artwork for linking without a licence.

Content liability

The existing terms say Supplier Synergy is not responsible for content displayed on third-party websites linking to it and include provisions concerning unlawful or infringing links.

Reservation of rights and removal of links

Supplier Synergy reserves the right to request removal of links to its website and to amend its linking policy. You may contact us to report links you consider inappropriate; the existing terms do not guarantee that every request will result in removal or a reply.

Supplier Synergy’s role and third-party suppliers

Supplier Synergy helps businesses define IT requirements and identify suitable third-party suppliers. The matching service is supplier-funded, with no additional consultancy fee for matching. The supplier appointed by a customer is responsible for its own delivery, quotations, implementation, service levels and support commitments. A website enquiry does not constitute an order or create a supplier contract. Customers should review the selected supplier’s written quotation and terms before proceeding.

Indicative pricing and comparison tools

Any results from our proposed leased-line comparison tool are indicative only, not guaranteed final quotations. Availability, installation and ongoing pricing may change after address-level checks, surveys, construction-charge assessments and supplier confirmation. The comparison tool must be tested before being presented as providing working live supplier prices.

Enquiries and personal information

Do not submit passwords, payment details or confidential system access credentials through website enquiries. Personal information provided through contact forms and the proposed comparison tool is subject to our Privacy Policy, which must accurately explain any external quotation service and supplier data sharing before launch.

Website information

The website’s information is supplied for general information purposes. The existing terms do not promise that all information is complete, accurate, continuously available or fully up to date.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The website provides general information to support business decision-making; this does not replace a supplier’s own contract or a separate written agreement with Supplier Synergy. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so is prohibited by law. Any specific limitation-of-liability language needs legal review before publication. The former website terms included limitations and exclusions of liability, subject to applicable law. They expressly say they do not exclude liability for death or personal injury, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or other liability that the law does not permit to be excluded. These provisions should be legally checked before the revised website is published, particularly to distinguish website use from any separately agreed commercial services.
